ISACI BOYS CRICKET Rules
1. Number of Participants
- 16 players with 11 on the field at any one time.
2. Rules of Play
- All ICC rules and regulations are in force with the following ISACI adaptations.
- Round robin play with each match being a 12–12 over match.
- Restrictions on bowlers:
- Two bowlers can bowl a maximum of 3 overs.
- Other bowlers can bowl a maximum of 2 overs each.
- Minimum of 5 bowlers in total.
- Batting Power Play (Overs 1–4):
- Only 2 fielders are allowed outside the circle.
- BPP circle is 25 yards (22.8m) from centre of the wicket.
- Overs 5–12 fielding restriction:
- Minimum of 4 fielders inside the circle.
- Wide: Two runs in overs 1–10 with the ball being counted.
- Front foot no ball: Two runs + a free hit.
- If a no-ball is carried over into the next over (of overs 1–10), field placement can change for the free hit.
- Any no-ball in overs 1–10 is two runs: full toss / waist height / over-head / field placement.
- Delivery height: If the delivery is over the waist of the batter it is deemed a full toss regardless of the height of the batter. This is a no ball and 2 runs.
- Bouncers: One “bouncer” over-head height ball per over is allowed followed by a warning being issued. After one bouncer all such deliveries will be called a wide and two runs.
- It is compulsory that all players wear proper protective equipment: helmets, boxes, gloves.
- Retirement: A batsman must retire at 50 runs. If all other team members are out then the retired batsman is allowed back in to play until 10 batsmen are out or the innings is over.
- Substitutions: Only coaches can initiate substitutions. The score table official will communicate with the onfield umpire that a substitution is required. Substitutions can only be made at the end of an over—without any disruption to play. Incoming substitutions must be seated next to score table and only enter the field of play when the outgoing player has exited the field. Incoming sub must be on the field for one over before being allowed to bowl.
