TBS Cricket Teams in Dubai

U11 and U17 Cricket Squads | International Cricket Tour | Dubai

“The Dubai tour was not just about cricket — it was about belief, resilience, and the quiet pursuit of progress.”

December brought with it one of the most significant milestones in the Panthers cricket calendar — an international tour to Dubai for both our U11 and U17 squads. For many players, this was their first experience competing in an unfamiliar environment, on foreign soil, against academy-level opposition. But while the results were mixed, the development was undeniable.

The U11 team, brimming with excitement and ambition, stepped into the challenge with open minds and fearless hearts. Their energy and enthusiasm lit up the dugouts and outfields alike. With each outing, they grew in confidence — learning to communicate under pressure, read the game, and embrace the pace of competitive play.

Meanwhile, the U17 squad faced seasoned opposition and international-style pressure across their fixtures. This group, older and more experienced, showed signs of real promise — with leadership emerging from within, and players stepping up to take responsibility in key moments. This was felt in the way they spoke, prepared, and played together.

“Wins can be motivating. But growth? That’s something we carry into every match we play next.” — Nerys Coventry (Head of PE and Sports)

Defining Strengths and Shared Learning

In the age group of U11, certain themes emerged clearly. Fielding was a focus — from reacting quickly in the ring to backing up at the stumps. Coaches noted sharper footwork, better positioning, and a growing understanding of angles and pressure play.

Another powerful takeaway was mental composure. Dubai tested the boys not only physically, but emotionally — playing away from home, in front of new crowds, and in intense conditions. The ability to reset after an over, recover from a dropped catch, or encourage a teammate under pressure revealed true maturity within the group.

Spotlight Moments

Aneel (U11)

Wicket-Keeper Batsman

Aneel made critical contributions with the bat and behind the stumps, showing calmness under pressure and exceptional reflexes throughout the tour.

Vansh (U11)

All-Rounder

With his medium-pace bowling and confident right-handed batting, Vansh played a pivotal role in key moments with both ball and bat.

Ziven (U11)

Right-Arm Leg Spinner

With a smart tactical mind and clean wrist spin, Ziven impressed with his control and ability to contain aggressive batters across overs.

Rio (U11)

Top Fielder

Rio delivered one of the most consistent fielding performances of the tour — quick to react, accurate in throws, and fearless in the ring.

Aryavardhan (U11)

Captain & Leg Spinner

Leading the team with maturity and tactical poise, Aryavardhan also contributed significantly with the ball as a right-arm leg break bowler.
