Pressure, Passion, Penalties: TBS U19 Boys Rise at ISACI

TBS U19 Football Team Finish Strong at ISACI Bangalore

TBS U19 Footballers Battle to the Finals at ISACI Bangalore

Stonehill International School | Bangalore | May 2025

The British School’s Under 19 Boys Football team travelled to Bangalore with heart, hunger, and high hopes to compete in the annual ISACI Tournament. Hosted by Stonehill International School (SIS), this prestigious two-day competition saw TBS line up against top-tier teams from International School Hyderabad (ISH), Mahindra International School, Pune (MIS), and the hosts, SIS.

Injuries to key players, testing heat, and unpredictable conditions made it anything but easy. But our boys didn’t flinch. They showed resilience, adaptability, and maturity far beyond their years — and through disciplined team play, strategic pressing, and intelligent ball movement, they fought their way into the final against SIS.

Final Showdown: Grit and Glory

The final was nothing short of epic. SIS came out strong on their home turf, but TBS matched them with courage and control. It was a high-intensity match, with both teams creating chances and pressing hard. At full-time, the score stood at 2-2 — a reflection of how evenly matched the sides were.

In the penalty shootout, TBS displayed incredible focus and unity. Under the pressure of a cheering crowd and the stakes of the championship, our boys took each kick with composure. Ultimately, SIS edged ahead 5-4 — but there was nothing to take away from what was a gutsy, inspirational team effort.

“You don’t have to lift the trophy to be champions. You showed what Panthers football is all about — discipline, courage, and heart.” — Coaching Staff

Led by Example

Keshav, our captain, led the squad brilliantly — bringing calm to chaos, structure to every play, and inspiring belief in every teammate. His leadership on and off the pitch earned him admiration from coaches and opponents alike.

More Than Just a Match

This journey wasn’t just about goals scored or tackles made. It was about what it meant to wear the jersey — to represent your school, your teammates, and your values. The boys left everything on the pitch. And in doing so, they earned something greater than a medal — the respect of the ISACI community and pride of the TBS family.

We are proud. We are Panthers. We go again.
