Pride, Perseverance, and a 3rd Place Finish: TBS U14 Boys at ISACI Football 2025

Bangalore, 24–26 April 2025 — On the pitches of Stonehill International School in Bangalore, The British School’s U14 Boys Football Team delivered a performance defined not only by results, but by resilience, growth, and a quiet determination to leave everything on the field.

Over three days of intense heat and fierce competition, our Panthers showed just how far teamwork and belief can take you — earning a deserved third place finish in the ISACI Middle School Boys Football Tournament, and capturing the admiration of peers, spectators, and coaches alike.

Match Highlights and Turning Points

The tournament followed a 7-a-side league-cum-knockout format, with every match demanding focus and flair. After opening with a 0-0 draw against MIS and a narrow 1-2 loss to SIS, the team regrouped and found their rhythm.

A convincing 3-0 win over ISH in the group stage lifted spirits. But it was the final placement match — a commanding 4-0 victory over ISH — that truly captured the essence of their journey: disciplined defending, precise passing, and clinical finishing.

Takeru, Bohdi, and Ford each contributed two goals across the tournament, helping TBS finish with the highest goal tally among all competing schools — a statistic that reflects the attacking mindset and quality in the squad.

Recognising Sportsmanship

Keishi

Award: Sportsmanship Award

Celebrated for his consistent discipline, humble leadership, and ability to inspire teammates through calm, focused play.

Ford

Award: Sportsmanship Award

Awarded for his effort on both ends of the pitch, his respect for officials and opponents, and his team-first mentality in every match.

Community, Character, and the TBS Spirit

What stood out beyond the match results was the sense of community — several TBS parents made the trip to Bangalore to support the squad, and the boys responded with performances worthy of their encouragement.

The heat and humidity tested their endurance, but not their spirit. Every player left the tournament better than they arrived — more aware, more cohesive, and more motivated to return next year aiming higher.

We thank our PE Department, coaches, and parents for making this experience possible. And most of all, we thank our student-athletes for representing The British School with courage, grace, and ambition.
