Resilience Over Results: TBS U14 Girls Reflect the True Spirit of Football

Bangalore, 24–26 April 2025 — There are matches you win — and there are matches that shape who you become.

At the ISACI Middle Years Girls Football Tournament, hosted by Stonehill International School, our U14 squad may not have returned with silverware, but they came back with something far more valuable: experience, confidence, and the quiet satisfaction of having grown stronger together.

Over the course of three intense days in hot and humid conditions, the girls gave everything on the field. With each passing match, their chemistry improved, their voices grew louder, and their decisions became bolder. Eleonora and Vincentina provided early reasons to cheer, scoring in the opening match with sharp footwork and precision finishing that demonstrated technical maturity.

But even when goals became scarce, encouragement never did. One of the defining qualities of this group was their ability to lift each other up — both figuratively and literally. The sideline support, the fist bumps, and the post-match huddles said it all. This was a team committed not just to football, but to each other.

A Message to the TBS Community

This tournament reminded us all of what sport truly teaches — not just how to win, but how to grow. These girls showed us that bravery can look like chasing down a ball in the final minute, offering a teammate a hand after a tough challenge, or staying motivated when the scoreboard does not fall in your favour.

To our athletes: you represented The British School with heart, humility, and honour. To our coaches, families, and staff — thank you for nurturing this journey. We are proud of each and every one of you.
