📢 Panthers Team Trials

We know how competitive it is for students to earn a place representing the school as part of any TBS Panthers teams. We look for high levels of talent, commitment and tenacity so that the school teams always work hard and aim to win, but also learn from losses and maintain a collective team spirit.

Main Trials: Sat 26 & Sun 27 July 2025

Additional: Mon 28 – Wed 30 July 2025

📈 Expanded Panthers Programme

As we strive for excellence within our Panthers teams and open access to competitive sports to more and more students, this coming year we are excited to share, we will be expanding our provision by introducing a new 5^th age group, providing approximately an additional 100 students to access competitive school sport. This decision has been made to try and provide as many students as possible, more first-team matches and competitions.

U14: Year 7 to Year 9
U17: Year 10 & Year 11
U19: Year 12 & Year 13

📑 Selection Policy

Students are welcome to try out for any number of school teams. However, to ensure physical and mental wellbeing, selection is limited to three sports:

2 Team + 1 Individual
OR 1 Team + 2 Individual

💪 Fitness Assessment

All participants will undergo a comprehensive fitness evaluation as part of our Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) programme. This assessment is designed to measure core physical attributes such as endurance, strength, speed, and agility. The results will help coaches better understand each student’s current fitness level, inform training plans, and ensure athletes are developing holistically and safely over time. It also provides valuable baseline data to track individual progress throughout the sporting year..

📝 Register for Trials

Use the online portal to select your sport(s) and book your trial slot. Slots are limited, so please register promptly.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING:

Each student is allowed to book only once. Once submitted, you will not be able to make another booking.

🎯 Final Selection

The final team selections for the 2025–26 academic year will be done by the PE department. This decision will be based on a comprehensive review of each participant’s performance data, sport-specific skill assessments, and fitness evaluation results. In addition, students and parents are expected to uphold the Panthers Code of Conduct, which emphasises respect, commitment, and sportsmanship on and off the field. Compliance with this code is a key consideration in maintaining a place on the team.
