The U19 Boys Futsal Tournament, organised by The British School, New Delhi, took place on 22nd February 2025, featuring an exhilarating display of talent from four competing teams: KR Mangalam, TBS RED, TBS BLACK, and YBC Academy. The tournament, which saw the participation of over 40 enthusiastic students, aimed to welcome the U19 football team back after their exams in a spirited and enjoyable manner.

The event witnessed outstanding performances, especially from U14 students who had recently been promoted to the U18 team; Takeru and Gung particularly caught the eye with their impressive displays. All teams showcased a remarkably high level of football, contributing to a thrilling tournament atmosphere.

The group stage matches were filled with excitement as each team fought hard for a spot in the final. TBS RED and YBC Academy emerged as the two strongest teams, setting up a much-anticipated championship clash. The semi-finals were nail-biting, with TBS RED securing a 2-1 victory over KR Mangalam, while YBC Academy dominated TBS BLACK with a convincing 4-0 win.

In a competitive final, YBC Academy claimed victory over TBS RED with a score of 3-1, demonstrating their skill and teamwork throughout the tournament. The final saw an early lead from YBC Academy, with their striker scoring two quick goals in the first half. TBS RED responded with a brilliant goal from Arjun, but despite their efforts, YBC Academy sealed their win with another goal in the closing minutes.

Individual accolades were also awarded, with Arjun from TBS RED being named the best player of his team, and Takeru receiving the best player award from TBS BLACK. Mack, who recently transitioned to the U18 squad, made a lasting impact with his tactical awareness and exceptional footwork.

Overall, the event successfully celebrated the return of the U19 team, providing an enjoyable and competitive platform for the players. The tournament not only showcased outstanding futsal talent but also strengthened camaraderie among players, ensuring that the spirit of the game continues to thrive at The British School.
