While the rest of the school enjoyed Diwali celebrations on <span class=\"highlight\">Friday, 25 October<\/span>, our <span class=\"highlight\">U11 Boys\u2019 Basketball team<\/span> battled fiercely at GD Goenka World School for a place in the finals of the ISSO Championships 2024.<\/p>\n \n <p class=\"quote\">\u201cThe only way to prove that you\u2019re a good sport is to lose.\u201d \u2013 Ernie Banks<\/p>\n \n <p>Though they narrowly missed the final, the Panthers faced <span class=\"highlight\">DPS Gurgaon<\/span> in the third-place playoff. After the disappointment of the semi-final, the team showed <strong>incredible mental strength<\/strong> and resilience to bounce back. Their determination was unmatched as they put in a stellar performance to secure the <strong>Bronze Medal<\/strong>!<\/p>\n \n <p class=\"quote\">\u201cIt\u2019s not whether you get knocked down; it\u2019s whether you get up.\u201d \u2013 Vince Lombardi<\/p>\n \n <p>The game was a testament to their <strong>team spirit<\/strong> and refusal to give up. With remarkable coordination and skill, they demonstrated the essence of true sportsmanship and perseverance. Their performance on the court was nothing short of inspiring.<\/p>\n \n <p class=\"quote\">\u201cThe strength of the team is each individual member.
