Panthers Athletics Trials 2026–27

Athletics Trial Criteria and Selection Guidelines

Panthers Athletics Trials 2026–27 are designed to provide a clear, fair and measurable selection process. Students will be assessed across running, jumping and throwing events using age-appropriate qualifying standards. Each student will receive two trials per event, and the best valid performance will be used for evaluation and ranking.

Overview

The Athletics trials are structured to give students a fair opportunity to demonstrate speed, power and coordination across three core athletic disciplines: Running, Jumping and Throwing. Students are encouraged to participate in all three events so that their overall athletic ability can be assessed.

🏃 Running Students complete a sprint event. The best time from two trials is considered.
🦘 Jumping Students complete a standing broad jump. The best valid distance from two trials is considered.
💪 Throwing Students complete a 1kg medicine ball push throw. The best valid throw from two trials is considered.
Important: Meeting the qualifying mark does not automatically guarantee final selection. It serves as the minimum eligibility standard to be considered for ranking and evaluation. Final selection will be based on overall ranking across the three events and the required team composition.
