Our Under 14 basketball teams travelled to Pune on Thursday 7 November to compete in the Middle School ISACI tournament hosted by Mahindra International School, Pune.
It was an incredible two days of basketball with all eight teams displaying an excellent level of skill, passion, and determination to win. Games were fast-paced and physical with quickly changing score lines. A truly inspiring tournament to watch!
Our Panthers teams gave their all.
The boy’s final was intense, and our Panthers found themselves down by 7 points within the first three minutes. Led by their captain Bohdi every squad member chose to remain positive during a very competitive final against the host school and did their part to propel excellence in their performance and as a team. The final whistle came as a huge relief for the players, coaches and parents watching at home as TBS won 21 – 18.
Bohdi Maddocks and Kanav Vig were awarded the ‘Sportsmanship Award’ for their attitude and conduct on and off the field throughout the tournament.
A huge congratulations must go to Jimy who has coached both these teams and raised their performance level tremendously over the year as well as instilled an ethos of self-belief and belief in each other which was very evident and much needed in this tournament.
