Pride and Passion in Pune

Our U14 teams travelled to Pune to take part in the ISACI Basketball Competition, proudly unveiling our new school kit. The students represented the school with outstanding pride, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament.

Inspired and motivated by their new jerseys, both teams roared to success in their opening games, comfortably defeating the host school, the Eagles – Mahindra International School. The second game of the tournament for both teams was against the International School of Hyderabad – the ISH Vipers. The boys’ match proved to be particularly intense, with a close and fluctuating scoreline throughout. Their determination and teamwork paid off, and the highlight of the game came when Sihu sank a spectacular basket from the halfway line — earning huge applause and admiration from players and supporters alike.

Our girls’ team displayed impressive team spirit and cohesion, dominating their second game and ending Day One on a high after securing a well-deserved place in the final.

Day Two began with the final group-stage games, which saw both TBS Panthers teams pounce their way into the finals. Facing the SIS Tigers, it was truly a battle of the big cats in the boy’s final — a thrilling matchup that promised fierce competition and excitement from start to finish.

The unpredictability of tournaments saw the SIS Tigers take an early lead. Determined to fight back, the TBS Panthers never gave up, clawing back a few baskets but just falling short of taking the lead. As nerves began to show, the Tigers edged further ahead to finish as championship winners. The TBS Panthers should not be disappointed with their performance; led by Anhad and Kanav, this young yet talented team represented TBS with tremendous pride and determination.

Championship: Face Off

The girls’ team, meanwhile, faced the ISH Vipers and delivered a flawless team performance to claim the championship — ending their tournament undefeated. With the boys cheering from the sidelines and The British School anthem echoing around the court, it was a moment of unity and pride.
