Overview

What a fantastic week of energy, enthusiasm and sporting spirit at our Primary Sports Days. From the opening race to the final event, students across all year groups demonstrated incredible determination, resilience and teamwork. Whether sprinting down the track, competing in field events or cheering on their teammates, every athlete played an important role in making the week such a success.

Spirit of the Week

The level of participation and effort on display was outstanding. It was inspiring to see students supporting one another, celebrating successes and showing great respect throughout the week—true examples of excellent sportsmanship and school spirit.

Highlights from the Week

Participation, Effort and Personal Bests

There were impressive performances across the board, with many students pushing themselves to achieve personal bests. Just as importantly, the smiles, laughter and enjoyment captured exactly what Sports Day is all about: being active, having fun and taking pride in showing house spirit.

EYFS Sports Day

The week concluded with an outstanding EYFS Sports Day, where our youngest athletes demonstrated their “can do” attitude in abundance. They navigated a variety of challenging obstacle courses with enthusiasm, confidence and determination, bringing great joy and excitement to the occasion.

Resilience and Character

A special mention must go to our Year 6 students, who showed an exceptional display of resilience and character. Returning after the disappointment of the postponement, they came back even more determined to perform at their very best. Despite challenging weather conditions, with grey skies and persistent drizzle, their energy and positivity never wavered. The support and encouragement they showed one another truly embodied our school values.

Parent Support

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to parents for your continued support throughout the week. Rearranging schedules, navigating traffic and braving the conditions to cheer from the sidelines made a huge difference to the atmosphere and meant so much to the children.
